I have a confession. Ok, not really a confession because just about everyone who actually knows me knows it and I am not ashamed of it, but....
I have an obsession, of sorts, with Winnie the Pooh! Yes, go ahead and laugh, but seriously, I kind of like him a lot (ok, not as much as Cowboys, but that is a different story).
So my car has a little Winnie the Pooh hanging on the mirror and he basically is my friend that accompanies me on all my road trips and road adventures of getting lost (happens a lot).
So, whether you like it or not this post is Winnie the Pooh quotes. I probably just scared away half my readers, but you know if you can't put up with my Winnie the Pooh obsession for just one day than that is really just too bad. Be thankful I did not decide to do a Seven Brides for Seven Brothers post instead. I would understand if you left me after that. That would be the testing of whether we are true friends or not, but this time I am just sticking with Winnie the Pooh. ;)
We met about three years ago. The exact details of our very first meeting I don't remember very well because it wasn't exactly love at first sight for either one of us. He was a young happy freshman while I was a sad despondent old junior.
It wasn't too long before we became friends though. He started serving in the kitchen with me, and became a sweet fragrance of joy and youth in my weary sad drained life.
It seems that the kitchen is a fitting place for two people to fall in love.
I am sure he will never forget the many gifts of "love" I gave him as a dishwasher. Yes, I brought him so many dishes which I pointedly told him was "from the bottom of my heart...... where all the dirt lies." What could get more romantic than that? Right?!?!?!
So we became friends. We played pranks. We did parties. We ate food. And we started sharing each others coffee drinks. (gross!) And I became madly in love with him…
This summer was full of
new adventures, new beginnings, joyous celebrations, dreams coming true, hard
work, and long quiet days learning to rest in Jesus more. My sweet friend from North
Carolina, whom I have known since infanthood, got married in May. I myself,
started courting a kind, godly, tenderhearted, young gentleman at the end of
May. I worked landscaping during the month of June. Then went home for the month
of July to spend time with my family before my sister, Priscilla, married the
man of her dreams at the beginning of August. I started my senior year of college,
while my middle sister started her freshman year. I turned 24 at the end of
last week, which was actually quite exciting, but only because my sweet beau
made it a very special day to be remembered forever, otherwise, 24 isn’t too
remarkable. ;) Busy as this summer has
been, it has also been a very special season to me. Starting a courtship
relationship with one of my best friends of the last two years is a unique an…
