MORE DISHES!?!

Image
Tonight was one of those nights when...   the dishes are piled up so high that you would think, “How in the world am I going to wash all of those dishes. I didn’t even know we could use so many dishes for one simple meal.” And you look at those dishes and finally you know that it has to be done and it can be done and it must be done. So with a grin you pull up your sleeves and you tackle those dishes with a vengeance that you didn’t know you had. Then less then 20 minutes later the dishes are all washed and dried and put away and the sink is cleaned to a shine. Then you say, “Wow! It can be done. That didn’t take long at all and I thought I had a lot to do.”  And you smile and dance away so you can write a blog post about it because that was your plan all along. ;) And here is a poem I wrote about dish washing called The Dishwasher . Enjoy! ;)

Sentimentality

I hate having too much stuff. I guess I got that honest, for my mom is the same way. Sometimes I’ll just get into one of my get-rid-of moods and I’ll go through my stuff and try to get rid of as much stuff as possible, but when I get to the end, I still feel like I haven’t gotten rid of enough. Then of course I also have to start going through everyone else’s stuff too, because their stuff is the real problem any way, right. ;) Yet, at the same time of trying to get rid of unnecessary things, I also like to keep things for there sentimental value. You would be amazed at the crazy little things that I have held on to for some strange reason. Not to mention the odd collections that I have started. You know those little stick things that come with a plant that you buy from the store. It tells the name of the plant and you can poke it into the ground next to the plant so you know the name of it. Well, several years ago I got this crazy idea that I would save these stick things and ma...

Let Them See Jesus!

What’s the first thing you want a man to think of when he sees you? The way you dress tells a whole lot about the answer to that question. If we as Christian women dress to try to get guys attention then we will get that attention. They might be thinking really nice or flattering remarks about you. They might even tell you some. Yet are these thoughts the first that we want guys to think of when they see us. What about the nonbelievers who would be thinking all kinds of lustful thoughts about you? Do we really care so much about the attention from guys that we would give away our purity? Personally I don’t. If we are godly Christian girls then that is not what we should want guys to think of us. Would we not much rather men see Christ in us instead of being distracted with the way we are dressed. When a godly man looks at me I do not want his first thoughts of me to be lustful. Neither do I want his first thoughts of me to be flattery. I would much rather him see Jesus in me. I want hi...

Common Sense Sanitation Tips

1. Always wash your hands after using the bathroom. 2. Always wash your hands before eating, if possible. 3. Always wash your hands before cooking. 4. Cover your mouth or turn away when you sneeze or cough. 5. Always, always, wash your hands after being outside and handling the dead snake you found! And remember these are not the only things you should wash your hands after doing. How to Wash Your Hands 1. Put your hands under hot water to get them wet. 2. Take them out from under the water and put soap on your hands. 3. Scrub the soap all over your hands, out from under the water, for at least thirty seconds (I must admit, I don’t usually wash my hands that long myself, but that is about how long you’re suppose to do it). Make sure that plenty of suds are covering your hands. 4. Put them back under the water and scrub them under the water as you rinse off all the soap. 5. Dry your hands on a clean towel. If you follow these instructions then you will be spreading a lot less germs and ...
