Give Thanks

I thought that since Thanksgiving is coming up I would say some things I am thankful for. I am very thankful the Christian parents that God has blessed me with. I am thankful for all the brothers and sisters God has given me. I am thankful for all those who stop by and visit my blog (that means you). I am thankful for all the friends that God has blessed me with. I am most thankful, though, for God sending his only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sins, so that I could have eternal life. Thank you, God, for saving me. How about you? What are you thankful for? Here is one of our favorite dishes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is a recipe from a friend. Sweet Potato Casserole Delight 3 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes 1 cup sugar ½ cup milk ¼ cup butter 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla ½ teaspoon salt Topping: ½ stick butter 1 cup self-rising flour 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup chopped nuts Mix together well and pour into a buttered 13x9” baking dish. For topping, melt butter. Stir in brow

Just to Let You Know

This day nine years ago, November 22, Thursday, 2001, on Thanksgiving Day my whole family’s lives were changed dramatically for life. If you are interested in hearing what happened then and all after that then please come back to this blog in December. I will be doing a series on that which changed our lives. Also I just thought I would let you know that my Mom, sisters, and I have started a blog in which you will see thoughts from all of us. There is not much there right now, but the last post, by my sister, Priscilla, was very good and I thought you might like to read it. Have a wonderful week. God bless you!

Laughter

Hello! It has been a while since I've posted, so here is a new post. Laughter is one of my most favorite sounds. I love to here the gurgling laughter of a baby, the giggles of a girl, or the roaring laughter of a man. There are many different kinds of laughter. Some are high pitched, some are deep; some are quite, some are loud. I love every kind (except the evil or mean laugh, which I am not talking about). When I hear someone laugh it makes me want to laugh, too. Laughter is a sign of joy and when I hear laughter it fills me with joy. May you be filled with the joy of the Lord this day. God bless you! “Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them." The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.” Psalm 126:2-3 “A merry heart does good, like medicine , But a broken spirit dries the bones.” Proverbs 17: 22
