200 and Happy

This post marks my 200th post and it doesn't seem that long ago that I posted about my 100th. Wow! That feels like a lot of posts! So, I think my top most read post is Staying Cool at the Pool While not a Fool.

I feel very happy. I am happy in Jesus! If I try to make myself happy with other things, than I don't really find happiness at all, but only grief, annoyance, madness, and great disappointment. True happiness can only come from Christ alone. He is my everything, but I have to continually be reminded of that because I forget so often. Sometimes I think that I must have some material thing in order to be truly happy and satisfied, but, no, that is only Satan deceiving me. It is his big lie to get us distracted with the things of the world rather than being fully devoted to Christ and finding full satisfaction in God alone. Christ is and needs to be my treasure and, oh that I could always have that thought in the forefront of my mind!

I want to shine the light of Christ where ever I go. In my Theology class today, my teacher said something to the effect that "No one has ever seen God (that is visually), but people do see me and people can see God in me by showing Christ like love." I want people to see Christ shining on my face. I want them to see that I am different from the world. I want to show Christ like love to all people, believers and non-believers alike.

I am made in the image of God! Is that not amazing and glorious?! That God would make man in His image. I serve an amazing, loving, and merciful God!

These are my random and rambling thoughts for today! Maybe a bit jumbly, but I hope you have been blessed and encouraged by it just the same. What are your thoughts?

Last word: Seek Christ! He is the light! He is life! In Him is true happiness! Seek Christ and live!

Your Sister in Christ,
Hannah Grace

  2. I am very blessed and encouraged by your love for Christ. It is very evident on your face, in your countenance, that you love and treasure Jesus Christ. When life is difficult, you look to Jesus for strength, peace and help and those things have only served to make you shine more for Him. It is a fight until the end. By the grace of God we will persevere and keep looking to Him. So keep shining your light in every place God puts you. I love you so much!

  3. Great post, Hannah. I was very encouraged and blessed. He certainly is a wonderful God and Savior. And I'm like you. I have to be reminded over and over again. That's one of the reasons God's people need each other. I love Hebrews 3:12-13: "Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."
