A Passionless Post about Coffee....
I asked my friend to give
me one word to write about and she said “coffee”. So coffee it shall be. I was
a little hesitant to write on the topic considering everyone does. But I am
hoping that this post may be a little more original considering it comes from a
girl who drinks coffee maybe once or twice a week, but is definitely not addicted
to it. So here goes a passionless post about coffee!
Coffee is NOT my life. I
can enjoy a cup of coffee, but I don’t need to drink a cup of coffee to
survive each day (laughter does good like a medicine, but I have not heard anything about coffee being a good medicine, so I think I 'll stick to laughter which is tried and true). ;) I do write this post while sitting in a coffee shop, but that is
beside the point. ;)
Coffee to me is a
refreshing drink to enjoy with a friend over an encouraging conversation or
else to drink in the morning while journaling some deep inspiring thoughts (or
not so inspiring, as the case may be). But I can do either activity just as well with Chocolate milk, hot chocolate, or tea.
I like coffee, but not
black. I’ve tried it, but just couldn’t do it. Some would say I like my sugar
or cream with a little bit of coffee and that may be a little too accurate. Yes,
I am a southern girl and have an undying sweet tooth, which apparently will only
get more intense as the years go by because apparently sweetness is the last
of the taste bud to go. So maybe I am passionate about sugar and sweets, but not coffee.
Coffee is not something I
will rave on and on about. I am not super picky about what brand I use and
often cannot taste the difference between a cheap brand or a more expensive
one. I could probably talk all day about the goodness of ice cream, but not
coffee. I could also rave about the delights of chocolate milk (especially Nestlé’s). But coffee, well, it’s good, but just not worth spending my energy
promoting.
So yeah, you probably
haven’t read a post on coffee in which the drinker is not dyingly (I think I
just made up a word, but that's nothing new. :P) in love with it. Well,
it was my pleasure to be that person and to share my opinion and thoughts on
coffee. Thanks for enduring another coffee post.
Maybe I’ll write about ice cream next time (I just made some blueberry
ice cream with my roommate. :P). I have a little more passion for that. Hehe!
Very nice....I used to drink coffee but do not any more since caffeine can cause headaches....thx for posting!
ReplyDeleteLove, Maggie
I didn't realize you liked coffee for a time. Yea, sometimes I think it does cause headaches or sleepless nights and other problems.
Deleteyes, for a while I drank it about every day.
DeleteI'm not a coffee-lover either. I really only drink it when it's a sugary Starbucks drink that isn't really coffee :)

Haha! Yes, that is what I do a lot too. ;)
DeleteWow, Hannah, this is impressive. I'm not sure I could just sit down and write a post about a random subject someone gave me! Plus, I hate coffee. Now tea is a different story...
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thanks! I actually love tea myself. I grew up enjoying lots of tea parties with my sisters. The Tea Party was primarily an excuse for drinking tea, but generally not super Tea Partyish. Haha!
