Happy or Mad

Many times we think we are bored or unhappy because of our circumstances, but our circumstance has nothing to do with it. It all depends on the attitude we have and the way that we look at our circumstances. We can either find joy in vacuuming, doing school, or sitting in the car for hours with nothing to do or we can think it boring or get mad about it. Which do you choose this day? How are you going to look at life? I think it so humorous that we sometimes just choose to be mad or grumpy when we could be rejoicing and having a great time. Yet I do this very thing so often.
God calls us to be joyful. He wants us to be happy. How can we serve God when we are not happy? The truth is we can’t. If we are not obeying God by being happy then we are not serving Him.

1 Peter 4:12-13
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

1 Thessalonians 5:16
Rejoice always,

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Psalm 2:11
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.

Psalm 97:12
Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Psalm 100:2
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.

Psalm 119:71
It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.

I hope you have been encouraged. God bless you!
